Sense & Sensibility
Ah a Jane Austen classic. Obviously if you love true romance and Jane Austen then you will love this movie. It didn't get me hooked quite as much as Pride and Prejudice, but I still loved it. I had recently seen Emma Thompson is Nanny McPhee so I was interested to see her play a different role. There was one character that was driving me crazy only because I knew I should know him as an actor but I just couldn't place where I had seen him before. Finally near the end of the film I realised he was Dr House from the TV series House.
I believe that the life of Jane Austen is just as interesting as the classics she has written. I wonder if there is a movie documenting her life?
Plot:
Elinor uses her head. Marianne follows her heart. Two sisters on very different paths, are about to discover there's only one road that leads to true love. Sense and Sensibility is the glorious adaptation of Jane Austen's timeless story, brought to life with humour, heart and wonderful performances by a cast including Emma Thompson, Alan Rickman, Hugh Grant and Kate Winslet.
